Laser Cutter Training

Learn how to use the coolest prototyping and customizing tool: the Laser Cutter!

In this class we will cover the operation of our 40 watt CO2 laser cutter. We will go over how the machine works, how to make designs, and how to set it up.

The software we use for designing and preparing code for the laser cutter is called LightBurn.

Attendees will make simple laser-cut boxes with a design on the front!

These are the kinds of materials our laser can cut:

• ¼” plywood and other thing woods
• Clear and colored acrylics
• Cardstock and paper
• Fabrics
• EVA Foam
• Non-PVC plastics

These are materials it can engrave:

• All of the above
• Cases for phones or laptops
• Glass (coated)
• Rubber (special type for laser engraving)
• Black-painted metals
